Learn how to build a better app, web service, or device from one of the world’s foremost experts in User Experience Design, Intel’s Dr. Genevieve Bell.


On May 17th the Innovators Network will be hosting an event with Dr. Bell for DC-area entrepreneurs and technologists. She will cover the basics of user experience design and how technology companies of any size can employ them to improve the value of their products to users.


Building on her article in the Wall Street Journal Europe, she will also discuss the evolving role of 2nd screens (mobile phones and tablets) and how they will change the future of television and story telling.

More on Dr. Genevieve Bell


Dr. Genevieve Bell is the Director of Interaction & Experience Research at Intel Labs. Bell has been the driving force behind Intel’s emerging user-experience focus: over the last decade, she has fundamentally changed how Intel envisions, plans, and develops its platforms.


Raised in Australia, Bell received her bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Bryn Mawr College in 1990. She received her master’s and doctorate degrees in anthropology from Stanford University in 1993 and 1998, respectively. Her book, “Divining the Digital Future,” co-authored with Prof. Paul Dourish, will be released by MIT Press in Spring 2011.
